To all the believers in Christmas - Stella

This story starts many, many years ago on Christmas Eve. I was sad because a friend had told me Santa wasn't real, and I was starting to realize it might be true. So I stayed up that night and suddenly heard the sweet sound of a silver bell tingling. I knew immediately it was, with no doubt, one of the silver bells of Santa's sleigh.
I ran outside quickly, but instead of finding Santa's sleigh, I found a golden ornament in the snow. Turning it around in my hand, I found my name engraved in it. I touched it with my thumb, and suddenly, the ornament starting shooting up into the sky. I held on for dear life as I stared in wonder at the now tiny houses around me.
Up and up I went, until the ornament stopped and I plunged down below. I trudged through the thick snow until I smelled the delicious scent of cookies. I followed the smell until I reached a factory with steam coming out of its chimney - and a cookie scent. Then I realized this was it! This was Santa's workshop!
I went inside the factory and into a warm room with another door that lead to the workplace. Other children, still in pajamas and shivering, held their ornaments preciously. Then, suddenly Santa bursted through the door. He was a tall jolly man with a black belt and a big beard. "Hello, children!" Santa said. "You are the selected children who still believe in magic." The twinkle slightly disappeared from his eye. But he shook his head and the twinkle was back.
