Selena Quintanilla was born in Lake Jackson, Texas on April 16th, 1971. 

By the time she was 6, her father started a band called "The South Pearls". Later was changed to "Selena y los dinos" Translated to "Selena and the bad guys". They sang at weddings, babyshowers, resturants, carvinals everywhere. 

But Selena's life was like a obstacle back in her childhood. She went everywhere around Texas. Even when she had to go move to another state in Texas with her uncle. But they mostly came to Mexico and Texas for concerts. When she first came on the Johnny Canales show, she sang "La Bamba". 

She also had an adult haircut.

People loved Selena y los dinos. Her latest songs she made during the 1987s were Baila Esta cubmia, Dame un beso. She won Female Entertainer of the year in 1987. Selena was getting big.

Selena Quintanilla had made a new song named "Terco Corazon" in 1988. In 1989, Chris Perez was a new band member in Selena y los dinos. 

Selena and Chris soon had feelings for each other, but it was all a secret. Until Selena's dad Abraham had kicked Chris out of the band.

In 1990, Selena Quintanilla went to Corpus Christi, Texas to get a new home. It was like a new hometown. 

As the years went on, She did concerts that were famous like the concert in 1993 with the white sparkly costume she sang with. Amor Prohibido was made and Como La Flor was dedicated to all her fans out there.

In 1994, She opened her first boutique in San Antonio, Texas and Corpus Christi Texas. There was also a plan to open a boutique in Montorrey, Mexico. 

In 1995, She opened a big concert in Houston, Texas at the famous well known Astrodome. She sang a few of her songs from 1989-1995. 

That was Selena's #1 Best Concert.

When Selena opened her boutique in Corpus Christi, Texas she hired a club manager named Yolanda Soldivar.
