The cold, clammy mist washed over the three of us as we
clambered through the dark-enchanted blackness of the
night. A cruel wind enveloped us as we the treacherous
terrain of an old, enchanted village. “Come on!” I called to
the two stragglers of the group, the only company I had
through the endless night, “I’ve found a place to stay!” One
galloped forward, while the other kept walking. He galloped,
yes, because he was a unicorn. The unicorn and I entered
into an eerie chapel, rotted away from old age. I heard a
soft clunk. Then I heard another, and then another.
“Ghosts,” I said, “we have to get out of here.” As the
unicorn and I ran out, I told our friend, a magical voodoo
doll, to come with us. Just as we left, the building collapsed.

“That was close,” said the unicorn, “this seems better,” He
indicated with his hoof towards an abandoned house. We
walked over and let ourselves in. The entrance door closed
shut with a terribly loud snap. “Ooo-kay,” said the unicorn. He
tried to act casual, but I could see he that looked frightened.
Abruptly, a cabinet smashed down and out came a pale white,
semi-transparent creature. A ghost! I tried to escape, but the
door was locked. Then I saw our voodoo doll, standing up to
him. He gave me a look that said I’ve got this. Suddenly, I
tripped and fell. When I got up, the ghost and the voodoo doll
where gone. The unicorn and I fled.

“I can’t believe he sacrificed himself for us,” I said. The
unicorn nodded, looking somber. His skin looked stretched
taut. Through all our hardships, now he was gone. Since he
was a voodoo doll, he was attached to another person. In this
case, he was a friend of mine, captured by The Dragon, who
we were on this quest to steal the people back from. We
wandered around for what felt like hours. We wandered until
we came across a graveyard. We seemed to be attracted to it
like magnets. Inside, a coffin stood up with the lid off! We
sprinted away before anything bad could happen. Then we
turned and saw the entrance to The Dragon’s dark cave.

Inside stood a massive beast standing in front of the people in
cages. He had dark orange leather like wings and crinkled
maroon scaly arms sticking the wings onto a massive, dark
body. Up the beast’s long neck stood a devilish skull with
horns protruding from it and with red eyes and nostrils, which
were sparking at their edges. Along its back were white thorns
with almost a rusty tinge, looking as if they had been
hammered in by an awful blacksmith. The Dragon. As I drew
my sword, it turned towards me and said, “Meow.”
